It’s holiday gift crunch time, and if you’re still struggling to find the perfect gift for your mom, sister, or boyfriend, why not consider giving some Botox, Ulthera, Photofacial or even a neck lift? According to a new survey by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, more people are gifting aesthetic procedures than ever before.
ROXSpa Beverly Hills has gift cards for lower priced procedures like medical-grade peels, which cost between $150 and $200, as well as more involved procedures such as lasers and Botox. However, this the trend is definitely not limited to stocking-stuffer level procedures.
As Orla Becker, PA-C, at ROXSpa says, “I’ve really seen it all with holiday gifting. I’ve seen mothers get daughters laser hair removal. I’ve seen sisters give sisters treatments, usually an injectable. “It’s very common that if one sister has already tried Botox or a filler injection, she will gift one to her sister to ‘let her try it too.’ Botox generally costs between $350 and $1,00, depending on how many areas you treat.
Besides Botox gifts, gift certificates for a syringe of Voluma, chemical peels and facials, as well as laser treatments like Photofacials/IPL are also popular.
ROXSpa Medical Director, Dr. Jay Calvert, also helps husbands who want to gift their wives some major procedures that their wives are asking for, like liposuction and even a neck tightening procedure. Or younger patients who give their husbands a hint about rhinoplasty or a breast augmentation for themselves.
Interestingly, many of the gift certificates ROXSpa sells are to women to give to male significant others. And unlike men, who generally wait for a woman to say she wants Botox, women boldly give the gift unsolicited. The men seem to enjoy it!
And, of course, women love to treat themselves at the holidays.
